The Essentials
And I'd give up forever to touch you
Name: Honeybee
Pre- With silky smooth fur, soft like a duckling's feather's honey only suits the young tender. She has a very warm and sunny appearance, her fur glowing in the sunlight like flames. Her ticked tabby markings dust the edges of her fur, making it look like burnt amber. As she grew into her eye color, genetics revealed her creamy yellow-green eyes. Honey simply suited her, in all aspects. Voice, fur, and all.
Suf- As a young herb tender it was fitting that the gods would grant her a name suited for her task. Bees, though honeybees were not very common in the desert, are little insects that pollinate and help plants breed and grow. Similar to Honeybee, as her job is to tend to the herbs and her clan to help both grow strong and firm.
Sex: Female with good breeding
Age: Fresh out of her training, Honeybee is a young 22 moons with room to grow.
Sexuality: Though she personally is unaware of it, she is demiromantic asexual. She couldn't possibly imagine baring the kits of another when she devotes so much of her time to her clan, and sometimes she thinks she shouldn't get herself involved with romance if she will only disappoint her partner. Rather, she focuses on her herbs and tending to them. Her duty to her clan is her life.
Rank: Medicine cat tasked with the role of Herb Tender- she busies her day with watering the plants and checking them to make sure they are healthy and growing proper.
Role:If she were to be given a role in her clan it would be likely she would have been a Daywalker. Her bright red fur would help her in the vast desert, not to mention she prefers the sunlight over bathing in the darkness of the moon.
The Body
'cause I know that you feel me somehow
Base Coat Color: Ruddy Black'cause I know that you feel me somehow
Markings: Typical ticked tabby markings; tabby stripes on her face and down her spine, along with a dark brown tip at her tail. There is a splash of white around her lower jaw, and the silky white fur fades into a dark red down her front.
Eye Color: A gorgeous lime green that glows yellow in the sun. Upon close inspection, they darken into a green hue, but in the brightest of lights, she watches everyone with a careful dandelion colored gaze.
Body Size and Build: Average in shape and height, Honeybee does not have much to offer when it comes to size. She is lithe under her fur, with muscles in her back legs to spare.
Fur Length and Texture: Soft fur with a matte appearance, short but thick to block out the sun even around the ears and eyes.
Additional Physical Traits: Honeybee sports long whiskers and larger than average paws. Her voiceclaim is Wolfychu on Youtube and faceclaim is Errol the cat
Health and Scars: Perfectly healthy with few scars. There's some along her back from a thorn bush she got stuck in, but they're not noticeable under her thick fur.

Full Trait Description:Honeybee is what one might expect from a spoiled little sweetheart. She can often be described as Duneclan's favorite baby, because she just increases the desire to protect in people. She abuses her assets, like her big doe eyes and gorgeous red fur, and seduces those around her. Platonic or romantic, everyone finds themselves falling in love with Honeybee's personality.
The clan took on a protective role over Bee when she was a kit due to her familial circumstances, and that caused everyone to dote on her. She got pretty used to getting what she wants from her clan mates, and usually whenever she asked for it. Things took a hard turn when she became an apprentice and had to start working for herself, but she still enjoyed the company of others who dressed her in compliments. All of this seemed to give Honeybee quite the needy nature. She often finds herself craving the attention, and will always seek it out in others even if it causes herself humiliation. She's been known to interrupt a conversation by distracting cats with her physical cravings. Honeybee loves to cuddle and spoil others in the affection she equally demands, which has caused issues and drama in some relationships. Honey likes to nuzzle, she likes to clean, and she likes to compliment others. Taken the wrong way these actions can come off as very flirtatious.
Honeybee's love for cuddles is almost equal to that of her love to her plants. This spirited young lady is always found somewhere near the clan's plant supply, whether it be tending to her delicate flowers or simply talking about them and their interesting traits. She strives to learn more about her plants and treats them as if they were her friends. When in conversation, Honeybee may very quickly turn the conversation into something about her little twigs, or how to brew a concoction of warm mud. She loves her job and finds that it often gets in the way of her relationships with others, despite the fact that she is so lovable.

The Past
And I don't want to go home right now
Honeybee was born on a hot summer day alongside two older brothers. The three kittens were born to two warriors, Moonchaser and Locust-. Moonchaser and Locust loved each other irrefutably. Moonchaser was a doting, protective tom who would always step in and make sure Locust-, a rambunctious and risk-taking molly, was safe. The two had been inseparable since they were apprentices training alongside one another. They never officially outed themselves as mates, but the whole clan knew that they were. They were soulmates.
When the two warriors grew to be a little over forty moons, Locust- told Moonchaser she was interested in having kits. Previously when they had discussed this topic Locust- said she would hate to be refined to the nursery for so long, but she gradually changed her mind. The real reason for her change in attitude is unknown to the clan, but she instinctively knew that she was growing sicker and would lose the chance to have kits, ever, if she didn't have them soon. She was right. When she became pregnant her body started to grow smaller, more insecure. Her belly started to round from the kittens, but the sudden haze in her eyes showed that she had gotten sick. She was feverish with a cough, nothing that was unseen by the medicine cat who took care of the ill mother, but the pregnancy progressed it.
Locust- was refined to the nursery for most of her pregnancy, well before most mothers were forced to retire. The spiteful and very adventurous warrior hated this, for she was the kind to fight sickness by remaining active. Moonchaser fought with her on this, and eventually won the argument by soothing her to sleep in the nursery. He could tell that she was in more pain than she let on, and he was there for her every night to make sure she would be okay. He would have slept in the nursery if he could.
And all I can taste is this moment, and all I can breathe is your life.
And sooner or later it's over; I just don't want to miss you tonight.
When it came time for the kittens to be born Locust was already a week overdue. The medicine cat was hovering over her almost every second, trying to make sure she would go into labour safely. Moonchaser was chased out of the nursery every time he tried to come in and soothe his mate. Locust- didn't want him seeing her so weak. The whole clan could hear her pained screams as she went into labour for hours. Only three kittens and a lot of strain on the poor mother.
Honeybee and her brothers, Cherry- and Lime-, were born sickly. They were small and fragile. The trio looked as if they would snap if anyone tried to pick them up or nurture them. The clan saw this and promptly avoided coming in and out of the nursery to see them. Only two cats were allowed to visit Locust- and the kits, and that was Moonchaser and the medicine cat. The other nursing queens were exceptions of course since they all shared a den. They all noticed the slow progress with the kittens, though. Locust- was still weak after her birth, barely holding on to her life. She spent most of her time sleeping, not even bothering to stay awake when her kits nursed. Cherry- and Lime- were able to grow up stronger from eating so much, but Honeybee never really strengthened until after her mother passed away.
Cherry- and Lime- had started eating fresh kill before Honeybee did. The other queens prompted them to do so as soon as their teeth had grown in enough. Locust- didn't have enough strength to keep feeding all of her kits. Honeybee was also convinced by the other mothers to try out the warm, fleshy prey, but the little kit refused them every time and would go back to nursing from her mother. The queens didn't prompt the runt too much, since Honeybee was the weakest of the three kittens.
And I don't want the world to see me, 'cause I don't think that they'd understand.
When everything's meant to be broken, I just want you to know who I am.
And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming, or the moment of truth in your lies.
When everything feels like the movies, yeah you bleed just to know you're alive.

After Locust- died (she died one night in her sleep) Honeybee was forced to go eat food with her brothers. They helped her out. It was only after her brothers introduced her to the new food source that she started to look less ill. Her small stature remained throughout her kit hood, and the queens were frightened that she was still sick but she was slowly growing her shape. Honeybee frequented the medicine den, because every time she sneezed her overly protective father would insist that she get treated. Her fascination with medicine grew from that, as she would also perform a few rounds and help out the medicine cat with her brothers.
Moonchaser became overly protective of all three of his kits. He always jumped to their defense, and gave them whatever they wanted whenever they would ask for it. Anytime he went out hunting he would bring back prey he knew his kits liked specifically, and would avoid things he knew they didn't like. The rest of the clan tried to leave him alone when it came to this but it got to the extent that he wasn't hunting for the clan or even himself, because he was devoted wholly to his kits. He was scorned for this, and eventually wasn't allowed to perform his warrior tasks anymore. Moonchaser was forced to retire early, as all of his clanmates agreed that the death of Locust- had caused him to go batty. He would often chase mirages, thinking Locust- would be there. When they moved to the other oasis, he'd be scared to leave his mate behind.
This attitude of his left quite the impression on Honeybee. She watched as her father slowly fell apart, and she was determined to try and help him return to his old self. The medicine cat adopted Honeybee as her apprentice, impressed with the young one's memory and care of plants. From there, Honeybee worked hard to find a plant that could ease her father's emotional pain. She found no mixable cure, but she always convinced her brothers to visit their father with her. It was the least they could do since he raised the three all on his own.

Moonchaser was never the only one to dote on Honeybee. Her brothers also spoiled her rotten, always rewarding her with gifts and compliments. She knew she could always rely on them, because anytime she was in a pickle they would be there to make sure she was okay. The clan found themselves falling in love with the young cat's air-headed attitude as well. Potential suitors would occasionally try to win the she-cat's affection with small gifts such as blossoms and feathers. Some confessed to her. Honeybee always rejected them. She never saw it fit for her to have a mate since she was focused on her work as a medicine cat. That, and her role model never took on a mate.
The previous medicine cat who trained Honeybee wasn't as outgoing as the young girl. She was more reserved, focused and driven to always treat her clanmates from an unbiased perspective. She was one of the few who even took the time to help heal the cursed cats. Honeybee adopted this attitude of hers, and found it necessary to treat cursed cats as well as those who worked for the clan. Honeybee loved to watch the old medicine cat work because she looked so experienced, so confident. Honeybee had never seen someone act the same way as her before.
Honeybee was in love with her old mentor, the same way a kit would love her mother. She looked to her mentor for advice when she was handling something her brother's wouldn't be able to help her with. Honeybee swore to not take on a mate for as long as she could, because she wanted to honor her mentor's memory.
