[ I apologize in advance if I do this wrong. I read everything and have been stalking for a couple days. Decided to finally join partly because I saw this adoption thread and adore the concept and would love to start out with this character. ]

Personalty: She is callous and dismissive of others pain, concern, or woes. She cares personally for those she has taken into her carefully guarded regard and those outside it are watched with a shrewd cold eye. She is possessive of those within the pack and vicious about anything she sees as missteps. Unlike Dingotooth she doesn't outwardly show much emotion or connection to any of them though they all know she would kill for any of them is they only asked it of her. Would hide any misdeeds and forgive horrible grievances for those within the pack.

[ I wasn't sure you wanted a whole history so I just did the kithood and what lead her to becoming acquainted with Dingopaw as trainees. ]

History: Locustsong was born to a Daywalker mother named Cypress- and a no named father. The sole daughter of an older she-cat that's previous litter had been stillborn. Many assumed Cypress- cursed by the gods for transgressions they didn't know but loved to debate on. It brought attention to little Locustkit who wasn't the largest or healthiest kit. She faced cold shoulders from those around her and was chastised heavily by the older cats. Other mothers often warned their own children to be wary of Locustkits and her unknown parentage. Her mother was ostracized but seemed unbothered by the fact and it drove Locustkit to rage. Desperate to escape the stigma Locustkit schemed.

She watched obsessively those who still lowered themselves to interact with her mother and tried to puzzle out if her father really was a cursed tom. It was with this obsessive observation she noted her freedom. A tom who seemed to take great delight in tormenting her mother. Locustkit approached him with all the grace of a kit still fighting to find her way in the world. Convincing him to help her escape her mother by claiming her as his own. After a few meetings the tom finally did so, the daywalker nemesis of his mother claiming Locustkit was a product of a union he had with Cypress- that the she-cat then regretted.

Locustkit was not privy to exactly occurred but soon cats were calling her a 'poor dear' and saying 'what nasty business' and Cypress- was no longer around. Having realized her daughter had turned her back on her for a tom who hated her just as much as she hated him. Cypress- simply disappeared one night, her starved dehydrated body found a moon later, though no one tells this to Locustkit until long after she becomes a trainee. But the damage was done and Locustkit would never forget the pain and stigmatization of her kithood determined to prove everyone wrong. Fanatical devoted to the principals of Duneclan and punishing those who dared so carelessly make the same mistakes her mother made.

It is this that leads her to Dingopaw and the others of the pack.

Possible plots: A possibility I was considering was Locustsong having kits in the future with another one of the pack. For some reason the relationship crumbles and ends on sour terms. So when the kits are born she doesn't want to reveal the true father and wants him not involved at all. But due to the scrutiny the kits would receive at not having a declared father she tries to sweet talk Dingo into claiming them as his own and having a pretend relationship with her. At-least until her kits are old enough for them to 'break things off' with the kits being old enough and able to escape the possible criticism. This idea is more to add possible strained relationships and convoluted power struggles within the group of once very close friends. If this happens to be something the roleplayers would like to introduce.

Alternatively, Locustsong and Dingotooth could have an arrangement when she gives him the heirs to his bloodline he desires. Possibly one of them ends up being cursed? Or a Nightwalker? And they fight over whose fault it is and Locustsong says it runs in her bloodline not her own. Perhaps Dingotooth decides to kill the outlier as they get older and bring 'shame' to him. Thinking to arrange an accident, and Locustsong turns a blind eye because she would be loyal over to Dingotooth over the kit she sees as a failure on her otherwise pristine record.

Another plot idea is a fight that has a line drawn in the sand between the two and Locustsong starts gathering her own cats to challenge the little pack but in the end some event draws them all together again? Some threat against them that has them reconciling.

For Locustsong herself I think I would like to end up getting in over head on something and ending up horribly hurt. To what degree I'm not sure but I like to think of how this 'failure' would effect her psyche but also affect her relationship with the pack or affect the pack themselves.

Though I also like the idea of one of the pack getting hurt and how Locustsong would blame herself for not being there and would be possessive and over protective of them afterwards. Vicious in her desire to punish someone and a terror to deal with afterwards.

Yay! I went and made an application for her just now. I was also thinking would could do a thread set in the past when they're trainees and first meeting? If you would like to! I am very excited to write out their story.

soot , my good gal! I like idea of honeytail. If I am reading her right she would the young and very charismatic type. Witty and sly who can under you skin with her cute and Innocent charm but to those how aren't the pack. Honeytail would  stab in the back without a care. That would so fun for a  packmate. Dingo might find her as a headache at times you know typical parent dealing teenage daughter one but really cares about her as close friend. Just keep in mind in history she does have sibling.
