1. Treat other members the way you want to be treated; with kindness and respect.
2. Do not argue with the admins or staff. They know the rules, and should be treated with respect. They in turn will respect you. If you believe you are being treated unfairly by any of the staff members, please talk to the admins about it and we will do our best to figure things out.
3. Members must be 13 years of age or older to join the site. If we find that you are under 13 years of age at any point while you participated on this site, your account will be deleted as it defies Proboards Terms of Service.
4. Swearing is permitted, as all members are 13+ years of age. Swearing in an abusive manner towards other members is not allowed. Excessive swearing or swearing in a way that makes others uncomfortable will result in a warning.
5. Transphobia/homophobia/racism/discrimination or hate in any form towards other members are not permitted under any circumstances.
6. Members may only have one account. There is no limit on number of characters.
7. This is a PG-13 site so: Excessive violence, gore, and sexuality are not allowed. Mild violence and mild innuendos are allowed. Do not discuss religion, politics, or any other sensitive or explicit topics in the chatboxes (discord, chatango, and shoutbox) affiliated with the site. If you are uncomfortable with any conversation going on in any of these places, you have the right to ask the topic to change. If it persists, contact staff.
8. If there is a staff member in the chatbox and someone asks a question, please let staff answer before you do. If there is no staff around or the staff member does not reply in a timely manner, you may answer the question only if you are sure of the correct response. You can also say something like "oh @ staff should have the answer to that" and/or ping the staff member if they do not respond within a few minutes.
9. Spamming and other actions that will annoy others are not permitted and will result in a warning.

2. No godmodding or powerplaying, please. Do not make other other member's characters say or do anything without their permission.
2. Only realistic pelts and eye colors are allowed. The same goes for names (use only names approved on our Prefixes and Suffixes List).
3. We prefer that you use real faceclaims or photos for your cat, as it helps with using realistic patterns and eye color. (If you are having trouble finding a faceclaim for a specific color, ask and someone should be able to help!) If you are to use art as a faceclaim, you must accompany it a real photo example on the application showing that the cat's coat pattern exists. Rare colors and patterns may not be accepted, or may only be given out as a contest prize/bought in the store.
4. Before a cat partakes in a forbidden romantic relationship of any kind you must talk to the roleplayers of the leaders of both Clans (or in the case of DuneClan, the Day and Night Leaders) involved and the admins, preferably in a PM or ticket on our discord. You must also buy the item in the store that allows you to do this. You should also be aware that the item in the store is not a guarantee that the relationship will not be discovered. Eventually all forbidden relationships will be found out and punishment will be doled out as the leaders deem fit.
5. Roleplay posts are preferably no shorter than 100 words. Please just do your best to match your roleplay partner(s), and make sure that you contribute enough so they have enough to write about in their post(s).
6. Characters cannot be created with rare conditions such as heterochromia, male tortoiseshells/calicos, defects (ie. blindness, deafness, dwarfism, etc.), and other rare colors/conditions (vitiligo, albinism, chimerism, etc.) unless you have earned this through the store, a litter roll, or a contest prize. If you are uncertain whether a certain condition will be allowed, please ask.
7. Purebred cats may not be made (unless you have bought the rogue/loner item in the store), as it is virtually impossible for the clans to come in contact with humans, and thus outsider cats such as kittypets. Likely the only cats to be made outside the clans would be ex-clan cats. So patterns/colors only found in certain breeds (such as caramel, golden, and amber) will likely not reach the clans.
8. Characters that are incestuous are not permitted on the site. Incest includes adopted siblings and cats who were raised together by the same parents. If you have any questions about what is considered incest under our rules please contact staff.
9. Kittens are not permitted to be in romantic relationships or feel romantic feelings for another cat. They are the equivalent of children. Relationships between warriors and apprentices are also not permitted, no matter the age difference.
10. New members may disregard the bans on ranks for their first character only. For example; if DuneClan trainees are banned and a new member makes one as their first character, it will be accepted. If they make another character after that, they must abide by the bans.

1. Auditions are required when a High Position is open.
2. Members may only have 2 high position characters at a time. These characters may not be of the same rank (ie. you may have a leader and a medicine cat, but not two leaders). These characters may not be in the same clan.
3. The roleplayers of high positions should be as active as possible. You must make at least three posts with your character each real-life month, and at least one of those posts should be in an open thread. If you cannot complete the posting requirements for a month for a specific reason, please alert the staff before the end of the month. For example, if you know you are going on a trip and will not be able to post during that time, tell us as soon as possible.
4. There is no shame in stepping down from a high position if you do not feel you have the time or energy! We will let you decide what you wish to do with your character; whether they step down, are readopted, run away, die, etc.
.. DUNECLAN SPECIFIC RULES ..
1. The suffix -water is restricted to the two leaders of DuneClan.
2. Solid white cats and colorpoints (including the variations mink and sepia) are not permitted in DuneClan, as they are seen as a bad omen. White/mostly white cats also suffer particularly badly from sunburn, which would be very unsuitable for the desert and it is likely most of the white colored cats in the clan died out long ago.
3. Each member is allowed to make 1 cursed character for free in DuneClan. You are able to purchase 2 more in our store, for a total of 3.
4. Nightwalker x Daywalker and Daywalker/Nightwalker x Cursed relationships are seen as forbidden, and are treated the same as cross clan forbidden relationships- please inform the roleplayers of the leaders of DuneClan and admins if you intend to have one of these relationships, and buy the item in the store.
