The Past
Plum- and Ivy- where two love sick warriors, and on the day of there warrior ceremony asked each other to become mates. The clan celebrated, and everything seemed good, until life took a strange turn and Ivy became pregnant. The clan warned the two it wasn't wise to have kits so soon, especially when Leaf-bare was coming so soon. The couple ignored them and believed it was a good thing, the two had planned to become parents eventually it wasn't bad it was happening so soon right? Ivy- ended up with 5 kits, which was much more the couple expected or really wanted. Still, they believed it was good sign. The kits where named Jaykit, Lakekit, Agatekit, Goldkit and Berlykit. All of the kits where healthy, except for Berylkit who was born sickly and small. She was kept to her nest on her family's ledge, and under careful watch at all times
Soon they noticed a pattern. Berylkit would be horribly sick for days, seem to be perfectly fine the next and then sick again. She could hardly keep food down and slept all the time. When she could eat solids, Eventually she couldn't leave her nest at all, as her parents and clan leader feared she would either spread what she had or got worse7. Her siblings all became apprentices on time, but she was held back as it seemed she was too frail to go through training.
This caused a giant rift in Plum- and Ivy-'s relationship. Both seemed to have different ideas on how to deal with there sick daughter. Ivy- decided to put all her attention on her healthy kits, visiting Berylkit every so often but mostly working with her other kits to make sure they where becoming strong warriors like her, while Plum- put all his attention on his daughter and tended to her, making sure she was ok. They argued when they thought they where alone and hardly talked to each other, everything was so tense and unhappy. Berylkit hardly saw her siblings anymore, all busy with training. With all this going on Berylkit convinced Firegem to let her have a mentor. He agreed, but under the conditions she had to train only when she was feeling well and away from other apprentices.
The training was long and hard, Berylpaw was left feeling exhausted and needed several days to recover before going out again most of the time, though after many moons she finished her training, and became a warrior. She was given the name Beryldawn. Though she had her name, she had been so isolated during training she hardly knew her mother or siblings anymore, and found she didn't even know what was going on in there lives. She'd also become socially awkward, and found it hard to talk to others due to her very low socialization as an kit and apprentice.
As a last ditch effort her parents decided to have another litter to save there relationship. She now has two new siblings, Rubykit and Mallowkit. Beryldawn hopes to restore the relationships she had with with her siblings and mother.
Though it was the best choice that she was kept away from other cats in her younger years she'd developed a fear of small spaces and being alone.
