"Maybe we should have just left you behind so you wouldn't slow us down anymore than you already are." Scorpion snickered, looking over at the tom who had shouted at Blackpaw. "Nice" he meowed, bumping the toms shoulder again playfully. He felt his heart skip a beat when Blackpaw bumped him back, smiling at him. It took all his energy to not show his stupid smile. The journey was unbearable, hell being without his brother was unbearable but Blackpaw just made life a little easier, even if he was a stupid furball. "I would love that, I couldn't say no to that either." Scorpionpaw flashed the tom another smile. "What would you do without me?" he asked, flicking his ear playfully. Plus, I couldn't ask any two other cats to carry me all the way there when my legs inevitably give out." Scorpionpaw was about to roll his eyes but Mothspark spoke up before her could. “I dunno if I’d be able to carry you all the way there.” Something inside Scorpionpaw snapped, he wasn't sure what it was, maybe it was how she purred at him- how dare she he was HIS friend. "I can!" Scorpionpaw meowed without thinking. Suddenly he dived under the apprentices belly and lifted him up so he was on his back. He huffed- not expecting the little tom to weigh as much as he did. 'Now he'll see how strong I am~" he thought, lifting the tom up. "There- see" He said, trying not to wheeze. "Lets -huff- go!"Tags: lyca, Fen, Notes: Scorpion totally not trying to show off

Honeybee stared out into the vast desert, eyes wide in awe. Her green hues skimmed the sand, watching as the sky's gorgeous pink turned into an eerie purple and slowly, surely, faded into a midnight sky. No matter how many times she made this journey, she was still amazed by the world outside the oases. It was like a mysterious unknown, tensions on the rise and heads held high as the whole clan moved silently through the desert in search of their home. Beneath her pads the red sand crumbled apart, rolling to the bottom of the hill as gravity directed it. Honeybee watched, whiskers twitching. All around her were the Daywalkers, holding the front of the pack as they waited for the moon to come out. The clan had left late in the day, filing in an order that made the whole clan feel safe. Applewater led the pack, walking ahead of the Daywalker group and leading the troop towards their next oasis. Close behind her were the senior warriors, who had made this trip for moons and lent whatever aid they could. Behind them were the regular Daywalkers, their red and cream coats glowing like lightning bugs in the remaining sunlight. In between the two divided groups of Nightwalkers and Daywalkers were the frailest of the pack. Queens, kits, elders, and the three medicine cats walked in the center of the clan. It was the safest place for them to be if they were to get attacked by a large predator, and it even deterred carnivorous birds. Honeybee was also joined by two warriors who were helping her carry the remaining source of herbs to the next camp. On one side of Honeybee was her oldest and closest friend, Sunshine ( jinxy ) who she had asked to help her well before the migration started. Sunshine was a bright cat who could never turn Honeybee down, and for that the ticked tabby was grateful. On her other side was Suncatcher ( Milktooth. ), a tom whom the healer did not even need to ask for help from. As soon as their journey started, he was at the young medicine cat's side. Honeybee, the smallest of the three cats, had the thickest part of a palm leaf's stem in her jaw. She had her head cocked awkwardly to the side as she dragged the leaf with her, occasionally catching the leaf with her paw and stumbling forward. There was no easy way to drag the leaves, not with the way the cats were built. She clumsily trotted over her own paws, wiggling her tongue around to try and stop it from getting dry. She kept trying to jerk her head to the side and drag the leaf forward and closer to her, but would get it stuck on her back leg. It wasn't the prettiest of sights, but not even a palm leaf could stop Honeybee's eyes from glowing. Her toned legs moved smoothly under her thick fur, and no one tried to avoid her gaze when the Nightwalkers and Daywalkers switched positions. The Nightwalkers moved to the front of the pack, taking the lead as the sun disappeared behind the horizon. The Daywalkers moved back, allowing room for the superior warriors. Soon the cats would need a break, Honeybee could tell. Daywalker kits started to get tired, and even the nightwalker kittens looked weary from the journey. Parents and warriors did what they could to keep the little kits from walking, but Daywalkers weren't used to the walking. Well, they were, but sometimes a month of rest makes cats lazier.

Acaciapaw padded along with the rest of her Cursed family, trailing not too far behind the Nightwalkers. The falling sun meant that soon the dark shadowy shapes would be taking the front of the group and the sunshine-y pelts would be returning to the back. She was a little glad about that, but also a little sad. She had been looking at all of the shapes of the Nightwalkers, trying to pick out her parents in the lineup. She didn't recognize any of them like she had hoped. Or possibly feared? It was a combination of excitement and nervousness. But she was disappointed that she didn't know who they were, even if she was kinda hoping for this outcome. It's okay. They aren't looking for you. It doesn't matter. They wouldn't care if I know who they were. They would probably prefer it. She vaguely remembered the coats and faces of her parents, but they were mostly blurred memories and voices now. Like a paw had come down on a reflection in the water and shattered everything in shimmering pieces of light. Maybe if she heard their voices... saw their faces... but no, she had given herself a chance and her mind hadn't taken it. She didn't know who they were. Her eyes flicked away from the strong and lithe shapes of the 'walkers and fell to the ragged and fragile bodies of her companions. Specifically one of her friends, Geckopaw, as they were walking side by side. She assumed her expression was similar to his, disappointed and tired. She wondered if he was looking for his family too. He probably has an easier time telling... they all have curly pelts like his. She wasn't sure what was worse, not knowing who your blood was or knowing and also knowing that they hated and ignored you. ...I think I'm the one in the better position here. Poor Geckopaw. She contemplated looking for her sick friend's family too, but she wasn't sure if they would appreciate that. Probably not. She was worried about how they would handle the journey, though some of the stronger cursed were pulling their weak form on a palm leaf. They're going to have to walk at some point, and I'm too weak to help them. I can offer encouragement, but not much more. She felt useless. This was the most useless she'd felt, even after she had failed at hunts so many times. This uselessness boiled at the pit of her stomach like guilt, growing with each helpless thought and step along the journey. Maybe by the end of this it would consume her from the inside out. I just need to stay strong. Yeah. In her daydreaming thoughts, the light calico didn't realize that she had drifted closer to the Nightwalkers. Perhaps a little too close, which may invite some unwanted responses. Tags: Izumakoto, lyca (for mention) Notes: yeet come mess up my gal |

Rubbleroot seemed to catch the leader in a daze. She seemed almost surprised to have someone talking to her. But maybe that was because she was worried and tired. They had never made this trek before without the Nightwalker Leader who would usually take over here soon once the sun went down. It was always interesting to walk the desert at night the Daywalker pupils if they hadn't worn themselves out too much would probably be in awe at the difference between night and day. It always made Rubbleroot appreciate the sunshine. Though it was nice to walk in the moonlight if they would be receiving any tonight. Applewater finally turned her gaze and noticed it was Rubbleroot. She gave the leader a soft smile they had been den mates since kits, being around the same age. Often time they were confused for one another plus Honeybee now who would be at the back of group. It was kind of awkward when she was mistaken as either one of them because well she was just a plain ole warrior, nothing special but the other two played very imporant roles in the clan and Rubbleroot respected them very much. Applewater was wise to not trust the wind god. Rubbleroot was glad to hear though that the Sun and Moon god were glad they were back but that wind god was a mystery. Always unpredictable. Rubbleroot looked down at her paws in thought for a moment. "I am glad to hear that." She paused for a moment and added "Its wise to be cautious of the wind god though, let's just hope we are able to seek shelter before then." Rubbleroot looked behind her and said, "I never get used to seeing the clan move like this even though I have had many travels in my lifetime. Though at least I know better now to save my energy." She chuckled as she watched the pupils running through the sand. Tags: captain for Applewater Notes: eh not my best but rubble for ya
