Cricketpaw moved through the territory he wanted to get some practice on climbing. It was an important skill to master and the young tom found it embarrassing the first time he was out with him mentor trying to climb the low branches of the twisted trees. He could barely scale up one. Is long legs were seemed way too long for his small body, and he was smaller than his brother and his brother never seemed to let him forget that either. It made him more timid and anxious, but since he worked hard and got all his work done early he would take advantage of the daylight left and get some climbing practice in. He wanted to show his mentor that he could be strong and become a warrior. He just hoped that he wouldn't fall, oh that would be bad. But he remember this his mentor said that the twisted trees were perfect for that reason. The branches weren't that high up that if he fell there wouldn't be too much damage to his body. He approached the small area of the low branched trees. He looked up at the twisting branches perfect to learn how to balance on different footings. The brown tabby dug his claws into the soft earth. He was getting ready to go he had to get the courage to climb by himself. "I should have asked for someone to come with me." His mind wandered, he didn't have that many friends he was much to shy around the other apprentices not even able to say a single word. Unlike his brother who seemed to be enjoying the apprentice life and not having to be scolded by mother for leaving him behind once again. Cricketpaw didn't mind though, he was glad that his brother wasn't obligated to drag him along anymore. Lowering to the ground he bunched up his leg and moved his paws shifting under himself better ready to pounce. Leaping off the ground he perched himself on the trunk of one of the trees. Kicking with his back legs he felt his claws hook and propel him upwards. He scrambled for the lowest branch, heaving himself up he looked down at the ground. It wasn't that far down at all, he let out a sigh of relief as he now didn't fear of falling and breaking something. So he focused on the task ahead climbing higher. Tags: open Notes: n/a

Emberpaw - Glenclan - Apprentice - Birch Family - Application Emberpaw trekked through the territory with her held higher the normal. She was finally bested her mentor in sparring match early day that. She had worked herself to the bone to prove herself worth of them praise. Now that a another achievement under her belt. It really made her day. It was just a little happiness in sea full of gloom. Her green orbs scanning the landscape and feeling a content wash over her. I love the trees. Emberpaw was far too head-strong for many of fellow birch liking and in generally she didn't have a lot of friends. Nature ,however, always seemed in her corner when at else failed. Since today training lesson had long since be over the tortoiseshell decided take this opportunity to work on a few of her lackluster skills. Mainly an crucial skill she always seem to utterly lack and could spell disaster down the road. Climbing. Despite her small size rather nimble form she had never been able to grasp the fundamental no matter how much effort she placed into it. There were many times she would lost her grip and plummet down to the hard earth with a thump. I only be as this for two moons surely I should be better at this. The she-cat huffed remembering herself not everyone learns at the same pace and yet... If she didn't learn fast wouldn't everyone think she is weak just like her traitorous mother was. Her mind wandered a little bit more until she finally reached her destination the twisted trees. Her mentor said it was far easy area to practice climbing than elsewhere through she liked like the challenge it was best to return to the basic. "Alright! Finally- Oh!" Someone else was here lying on branch. A small brown tabby if she was correct it was...Cricketpaw. The tom was a moon younger than her but seem much more of a softie. "Good day to you Cricketpaw. Out here training! Mind if I join you?"Tags: @skiv, Notes: |

Cricketpaw was on the lowest branch when he hear some rustling off in the distance. He pressed his small body against the tree in fear, he probably should had a warrior come out here with him what if was something that would attack him. His mind was racing and he could hear the blood pounding in his ears. Get a grip you can't be a good warrior if your so startled like this!' His mind screamed at him but his body was acting in entirely different way. Thats when a black and ginger marked she-cat came into the twisted tree area. Cricketpaw let out a breath and straighten up a bit. It was only another apprentice coming to do some climbing practice. He sighed. She seemed to be talking to herself when she finally spotted him on the branch. Her green orbs seemed to pierce right through him but she seemed friendly enough and he did need a friend. His brother Hawkpaw seemed to have tons of friends already. Thats when Emberpaw directed her voice at him. He just blinked down at her which wasn't very far from the first branch. Clearly she wanted to train she looked a lot stronger than him and he didn't want to piss her off. Plus he knew that she might be pretty good at climbing and give him some pointers. It was good to have a practice buddy after all. "Uh... Yeah Im not the best at climbing yet." He said with a bit of a shaky voice. Yes please do, Emberpaw." He then answered her request to join him with a little more confidence. With that small boost of confidence he sprung onto the tree to then move to the next branch. He scrambled up to the second lowest branch and waited to see how Emberpaw was doing.

Emberpaw - Glenclan - Apprentice - Birch Family - Application Emberpaw was already scooping out the best tree for a good practice when she heard Cricketpaw's sound of approval. Excellent. His voice did have some insecurities and was far less assertive than she would have hoped for but the slight shift in it's tone met it was improving...somewhat. I never thought a cricket like him could chirp. She chuckled a little bit before responding in a rather soft tone. "No is born an expert or becomes one overnight,Cricketpaw."
Then began walking over the nearest tree testing to bark with her claws if strong enough for good grip. Her mentor did say some trees naturally had weaker bark and to practice she needed one the strongest she could find. Not this one."Believe me if it was that easy I would probably be one of the best in Glenclan." It was a jest but Emberpaw's serious voice probably didn't make seem like one. Climbing Roll(For fun): 3wgBNN5s-2 The she-cat went off the another tree and test the bark once again and nodded in approval. Ironically it was the tree right next to Cricket's but she didn't care or notice. Perfect. Emberpaw took a deep breath to calm herself. Now was not the time to get work up and stiff. I am not a kit anymore! With a run starting she leaped latched on to the tree's trunk sliding down a little bit before her claws could get to a solid grip. Gravity was against her. It always seem to be or that she tends to underestimate it. Why I am always having trouble-oh? A realization hit one major mistake in climbing form. She was far focused holding on barely focused the stabilize herself. That might one of the reason she hit the ground most time the she count on her toes. Alright-I'll! It took few few attempts but was meet with eventually successful. Her form even itself out making her feel a lot better. That's when she finally started to scale the tree paw and by careful paw. Rarely had gone as high she was without falling down already so she was greatly enjoying the moment. Finally she came to branch one the same level as Cricketpaw's and stop for moment to catch her breath. Climbing was going to be more of a challenge than she realized and she really like it. It seem fun. Maybe have another by her made it that way? "It was too to bad getting up here!" Emberpaw said look down at the tom "Enjoyed the view did you,Cricketpaw?"Tags: @skiv, Notes: |

Cricketpaw looked down and saw that Emberpaw was happy with the confirmation that she could join him. She chuckled a bit and responded with, "No is born an expert or becomes one overnight,Cricketpaw." He just flattened his ears a bit and smiled at the she-cat. He knew that he wasn't going to be perfect overnight but he didn't want to say anything to piss Emberpaw off. So he just went with it and waited on the second branch to see what she would do next. Which seemed to look like she was clawing at the bark of the tree. Cricketpaw didn't know if she was sharpening her claws to get better grip or if she was just testing out the tree. Her next comment he didn't know how to respond, she seemed quite serious but was she trying to joke around with him. He couldn't tell so not to be rude he just said "I have confidence you will a great climber be after a lot of practice." he tried to respond in a respectful yet wise way. Cricketpaw was still watching her it seemed like she didn't like the first tree she picked so she moved to the one right next to his. She was clawing at the bark once again, he was a bit puzzled by that but what ever made her happy he guessed. He watched as she backed up a little and took a running start, Cricketpaw wasn't sure if that was the best strategy but it seemed to be working so far. She was on the sliding down a bit before the her claws sunk in. She was wobbling a bit and Cricketpaw knew that he was bad at climbing but he took a much calmer approach than Emberpaw. She was clearly a go getter. But she was able to stabilize herself after a few moments and move up the tree. Next thing he knew she was on the same level as him. "Uh yeah I guess so. Though I wonder how much of the territory we can see from the top. " He wasn't sure if he planned to climb that high but he wasn't alone anymore Emberpaw seemed like the cat that liked a challenge. Maybe she would want to keep going up. He definitely wanted to go higher for the practice. jQebmMy1 + 0 (due to him being 7 moons) Cricketpaw was off learning a bit from Emberpaw's grand scale up the tree he moved to the trunk and reached up sinking his claws in. It was a bit easier this time as he made his way up two levels before getting tired and having the rest. He looked down at Emberpaw to make sure she was still in the tree and not on the forest floor. "Should we check out the view?" He asked her from above. Tags: AriaNotes: I liked your roll idea I hope you don't mind c:

Emberpaw - Glenclan - Apprentice - Birch Family - Application Cricketpaw seemed genuinely nice or at least respectable. He was the pine family, right? It seemed he would do the his family proud unlike her- that she-cat and many of the pine family who sided with her. Those who were one Marigold-'s side that is. That wrench swine-No! She shook her dismissed thinking about her problems. That and her was not the reason she was climbing here, now is it? Focus. Emberpaw. Focus. She shook off the tense in her body and got into position again for another go to reach the top. To give up now would be like give up on her dreams and she wouldn't never do that! "I have confidence you will a great climber be after a lot of practice." That was...nice to hear. Emberpaw looked that brown tom with a faint smile and nodded in agreement. "Same to you, Chip." What nicknames were rather easy for her remember. Plus crickets chip and it was often was so soothing sound so it would be perfect for him. Maybe he could to be her friend -a good friend but would date to ask him? I beat my mentor today and that was a challenge so this will nothing!"Uh yeah I guess so. Though I wonder how much of the territory we can see from the top. " What- did Chirp just taunt her or was it more words of encouragement? The tortoiseshell wouldn't tell but her determination was brewing even more. She never made this high in quite along to make father this even making to the top was feat on it's own. "Ha! We'll bet will be able to see that entire clan from up there wouldn't that be exciting." JBiM7sKN - 2 The apprentice her close eyes before snapping open up the tree she went. Unlike before she was scaling the tree with adept efficiency. Her resolve was shines bright as the sun as shockingly easy to kept up with Cricketpaw. It was no problem at all and she even surpassed him. Scaling two levels before stopping again to caught her breath. She was proud of herself for once. She made this far and she wasn't about to stop now. She whistled to him before down low and laughing. "You think already know the answer to that one!"Tags: @skiv , Notes: |

Cricketpaw noticed that Emberpaw seemed to take his words of encouragement with grace. She seemed happy to hear them and that made Cricketpaw happy. Thats when she called him Chirp. Though it was a new one he didn't mind all that much, maybe his name was hard to remember or something. Or maybe this was what it was like to have a friend. Cricketpaw hoped so though he had only really just met Emberpaw she seemed like a good friend to have. Thats when he suggested on going to the top to see the territory. She seemed excited with that ideas and mentioned something about seeing the entire clan from the top. That would be really exciting would he be able to see camp? Who knows and he was excited to keep going up. He was climbing and it seemed that the Emberpaw was excited to get to the top. He wouldn't have guessed it but she was cruising up the tree next to him. Clearly the burst of energy was in her favor. As she scaled past him up two more sets of branches. Cricketpaw smiled and she called back down to him about question from before. He laughed and started making his way up as well. He was taking his time though making sure that branches would support his weight as he got higher and higher. He noticed that the higher they went up the thinner the branches were, he was now glad for his small body size. Cricketpaw could feel the breeze picking up as they got higher and he felt as ease up in the tree though he remembered before that he didn't want to fall being up this high made him really happy he had never felt this free before. He looked around the land and then down the branches twisted around each other quite beautifully. "Wow I never expected this!'" he exclaimed to Emberpaw. "What do you think? Can we see camp from here?" He asked as he looked out towards the direction of camp to see if he could spot it.

I'm a dying ember, Yet a blazing flame; I am my own salvation, I'm no wonted dame. Now that's what I called spirit! Emberpaw was impressed by little chirp. He seem so little like a nervous fletching at first but now look at him. The tom grown himself a pair of "wings". Maybe a little bit of her has rubbing off on him? It didn't matter. Being this high up was exhilarating for as someone who could barely get her paws of the ground this was a memory thought treasuring. She could the taste crisp green-leaf air and the bit of breeze through the thin branches. Everything seems so tranquil like nothing matter a moment in time.
This was scene most taking for grant but she would cherish with all her heart. Why because she had a little bubbly next to share it with too? The she-cat nodded at her friend exclaimed "Yeah, It is pretty coo! " She glanced around taking in the sight for herself. "Pfft! As high as are. I bet we can see the territory if you know were to look." I am going to prove it! With a smirk Emberpaw shuffled herself over to a nearby branch. It was rather skinny compared to the others maybe even weak but that didn't stop her.
The headstrong cat did how much she was playing with fire as she went to very edge of the ghastly piece of bark. She wasn't nervous in the slightest probably thinking there was was no way this branch would break under her weight. She glanced around move every so often. In reality through those each step another trigger wires waiting to snap. "Hey,Chirp I found the camp it's over Th--AGGhhhh!" The branch gave way causing the tortoiseshell to plump into branch after agonizing branch before hitting the raw earth. It was over she was rolled until finally the was on a flat speak of land. "Ugh......" She was all she say. Everything hurt right now even her pride.

Cricketpaw was awe struck at the top of the trees. Emberpaw and him has successfully made it up to the top nothing bad had happened yet. He stayed close to where the branch and the main trunk connected the ends were pretty thin and he wasn't quite sure they supported his weight. He looked around for camp and Emberpaw seemed to be having fun as well getting a good look at the territory. He had to orient himself he was used to moving around the territory on the ground but with the twists and turns of the branches he a bit confused. Emberpaw seemed to have a better understanding of where she was because she was moving around looking out for camp with more confidence. He heard his companion moving around and he turned to look and see where Emberpaw was looking. She moved to a thin branch and was moving out to the edge. Cricketpaw's eyes went wide as he watched her, "Uhhh Ember-" She cut him off as she started to say something about camp. He didn't even look to where she was point out but all he could watch was the branch thats when it snapped. "EMBERPAW" He squeaked as she fell hitting several branches on the way down. Cricketpaw didn't know he could move that fast in his whole life, he was just worried about Emberpaw. He finally landed on the forest floor easily and he bolted over to Emberpaws side. She rolled over and groaned, 'Good she wasn't dead' He gently touched his tail to her side as to sort of comfort her. "Emberpaw, how are you feeling" He said softly to her, he didn't want her to panic and he was trying to keep himself from freaking out. "We should get you to see Mintheart." He looked down at her his eyes full of conern. Tags: Aria Notes: Sorry for the long wait!

I'm a dying ember, Yet a blazing flame; I am my own salvation, I'm no wonted dame. Feeling pain was nothing new to Emberpaw. Everyday felt emotional pain from her past but this physical pain at the moment stomped any of that! Her head was throbbing with her left shoulder and leg, which she was lying on, hurting immensely. Even the slightest moment made her hiss in pain but still she managed roll off it. Wonderful. She felt a little bitter for telling her come so overconfident and Cricketpaw saw it all.
He probably thought she was weak now. The she-cat look the brown tabby waiting for some harsh to be spoken but they never came. That what almost confused the most. There wasn't a drop of hate or annoys in his eyes. They were feeling with concern and maybe a little fear. I- why? Emberpaw's heart sank a little seeing him so worried about her like if the fact someone was when worried about her siblings wasn't a shocker enough.
It made her feel something almost foreign. Was it guilt? Emberpaw feeling guilt for making Cricketpaw worry about her. Geez, He was really someone alright. "Hey relax Chirp. I just took a tumble." She replied with a smile and she sat trying not move her other fore-leg. "It's nothing too bad just a headache I can move." Emberpaw replied attempt to stand up but yowled in instantly flopping back to the ground. "Or not."

Cricketpaw was looking down a Emberpaw he just hoped she was okay, he didn't know what he would do if she wasn't okay. He would have to go back to camp and tell her mother and the leader that something terrible had happened. He would probably have to drag her back there as well. He felt all jittery inside his brain coming up with the worse possible things that could happen. Thats when Emberpaw finally spoke and he let out the breath that he was holding. She was alive and seemed to remember what had just happened. So she must have not hit her head too hard. "I don't think that was just a tumble Emberpaw you fell from the top of the trees!" He exclaimed at her there was still a bit of worry in his voice. He wouldn't be able to relax until they got back to camp. Thats when she sat up and it seemed to be going okay Cricketpaw backed up allowing her to have some space to move and get comfortable. She was clearly going to be sore tomorrow and probably wouldn't be able to move much. Thats when she mentioned a headache and that she could still move. He just smiled slightly as she tried to now stand, but she couldn't support her own weight on her paws. She flopped back onto the ground and a yowl came from her mouth clearly she was in pain. "Take a few deep breaths." He said to her but more to himself to relax. Taking a few deep breaths himself he then said, "Maybe Ill help you stand so we can get back to camp" He moved closer to her to help support her weight.
