    Goldenkit was born alongside his sister Spottedkit in early leaf-fall. Given a yellow zircon by his father, Firegem, it had been Firegem's hope for Goldenkit to one day take over as leader. Goldenkit had seemed stronger than Spottedkit at birth, and he had come out mewling up a storm. These hopes quickly disappeared for Firegem. In just a few moons, Goldenkit became shy and reserved; he detested being in the spotlight, and it made Firegem angry. How could a kit of his be afraid of attention? No matter how much Firegem pushed Goldenkit in situations where he was the center of attention, Goldenkit never became comfortable with this.

    It did not take long for Goldenkit to start resenting his father. He did whatever he could to never be in a place alone with him, and started following Spottedkit around wherever she went. This continued on through their apprenticeship, until Spottedpaw changed. Suddenly, Spottedpaw was meditating and studying gems with their father constantly. She was always bustling around, creating friendships with as many cats as she could to improve her social skills. It made Goldenpaw feel so incredibly alone, and he eventually stopped seeking her out as she denied him time after time. Goldenpaw retreated into his shell even more, and started to explore more of the territory whenever warriors would go out with him. It was through this exploration that Goldenpaw discovered his affinity and love for swimming. He could spend hours splashing around, and became an excellent fisher.

    Because of this talent, he was named Goldenfin when the time came for him to become warrior. Goldenfin had expected to celebrate with his sister, as he thought she would've taken the time to at least relax now that she was a warrior, but Spottedglow doubled down on her duties. Goldenfin lost much of the respect he had for her, and became hostile and passive aggressive with her and his other Clanmates. Even now, Goldenfin's anger towards Spottedglow and Fire- simmers and grows each day. It won't be long before the tom does something about it.
