Kestrelpaw was feeling riled up. Riled up and bored - not a good combination. With nothing to do in camp and no training sessions to let off steam, she paced back and forth between Twisted Trees and Wide Stream. She didn't exactly know what she was looking for. Well, thats a lie, she was looking for a fight. But she didn't know how to get it. The other apprentices were out training while her mother and mentor were doing their own separate duties. Leaving Kestrelpaw alone with her thoughts and very very bored. She growled under her breath as she approached Wide Stream for what had to be the third time that day. Looking out from the underbrush, the river bank seemed to be just as empty as it was earlier- wait, another lie, there was someone there now and nearby too. Kestrelpaw spotted them in her periphery, bent down and drinking from the stream. Antlerpaw. The dilute calico smiled, toothy and sharklike, this was exactly what she was looking for. Deciding there and then that it was time to pay the ginger tom a visit, Kestrelpaw crouched low and began to creep forward. Antlerpaw was about to get pranked and hopefully the scare of a life time. Closer and closer, she moved quickly and quietly. The rush of water aiding her by covering the sound of her pawsteps. When she was just behind her victim, Kestrelpaw growled and in the loudest most thunderous voice she could muster (which wasn't all that deep or thunderous), she yelled, "ANTLERPAW!"

A N T L E R P A W words Antlerpaw walked in silence towards the Wide Stream; his mind lost in thought as he went over the days training session with Embershade. The mentor had finally pushed him the way he wanted to today after Antlerpaw gave the older tom a retort full of scolding about how the basic training was getting too easy for him. It was very likely the two would clash once more, his mentor always knew how to test his patience and for a moment he wondered if he did the same to the warrior.
His paws led him to the stream's side and he bent down to drink the rushing water. Antlerpaw closed his eyes to enjoy the crisp cool liquid as it coated his tongue.
_Lu10guP +2 : Smelling Kestrelpaw in advance (1-14 miss; 15-20 he smells her)
Scenario 1: The sound of Kestrelpaw yelling behind him sent Antlerpaw into an immediate panic. On instinct the fur along his spine and tail fluffed out and he turned sharply to confront the apprentice behind him. "Kestrelpaw!" He yelled back at the molly as he tried to catch his breath. His heart thundered in his chest as he tried to calm himself.
Scenario 2: As Antlerpaw lapped at the water a scent wafted through his nose for just a moment. He knew it well, Kestrelpaw. He wasn't surprised the molly was out and about causing trouble, that was her specialty. He'd on more than one occasion had run ins with her and as he looked up from his drink he heard the she-cat growl his name from behind him. Ears flicking back in annoyance Antlerpaw turned to give the molly a glare. "Did you really think that would work?" he asked her. "I could smell you from across the whole territory!" Antlerpaw's voice took on a smug tone as he stared down the diluted calico. Seeking clarity ooc:// haha omg SHARK! lol Maple for mention

"Did you really think that would work?" Kestrelpaw barely hid her surprise as Antlerpaw turned and shot shot her a glare. Embarrassment tasted sour, Kestrelpaw grimaced. She hated how the tips of her ears began to grow warm. "Tsk. No." She growled again and took a seat by the water, trying to play it off while inside her mind was whirring. She was usually better than this. What kind of hunter forgets that their own scent can set off prey? The fact that she was referring to a fellow clanmate as prey in her inner dialogue went unnoticed. Tail still lashing side to side, Kestrelpaw retorted suddenly, "Whatever. Aren't you supposed to be training Antpaw or is it getting a little much for you? Did you need to take a widdle break~?" Her voice was harsh, the attempt to make a teasing tune at the end of her sentence lost under the weight of her bitter tone. Her plan had failed. Antlerpaw had not been sent screaming or better yet tumbling into the river and now, she felt all the more riled up. Not to mention, angry.

A N T L E R P A W 140 words Antlerpaw watched Kestrelpaw move to the side of the stream with a dry look. He didn't believe her when she presented herself as unbothered; her grimace and lashing tail after he confronted her had shown just how disappointed she appeared to be. He only blinked when she called him Antpaw and contemplated just tackling the molly to show just how much training he'd been doing recently.
Instead Antlerpaw sat beside Kestrelpaw and gave a small sigh, "Well obviously I've had a busier day than you if you've just been sitting here waiting to unsuccessfully ambush someone." He pointed the obvious out with a simple shrug and bent back down to take another drink; giving Kestrelpaw about the same amount of attention he'd give to the tadpoles dancing around beneath the water's surface. "Is this how you're spending your time now? You're going to need to try harder if you really plan on scaring anyone." Seeking clarity

"You know what? Why don't you just shut. UP!" Kestrelpaw suddenly snapped, tail slashing harder but she didn't move from her spot. It's not like she had a better answer. In all seriousness, Antlerpaw had her stumped for words. So, she lashed out. He had moved to sit beside her also and yet he paid no mind to the fuming she-cat. That seriously rubbed her the wrong way. "My mentor needed a break today, alright? We've been trying more advanced techniques and- so what! I don't know why I'm even telling you this anyway... Not like a mouse brained furball like you would understand." Her rage subsided into a grumble as she watched the ginger apprentice bend down to drink again. He wasn't even listening! Suddenly, an idea sparked in her, cold and cruel. How dare he not pay any attention to her, she was talking to him and he won't even so much as look at her- "Hey! I'm talking to you!" She growled again, raising a paw on impulse with the intent to thwack it over his head. She moved quickly, aiming to push his stupid nonchalant face into the river.
OOC: Kestrel: Guess I'll kill him. Sorry to make you do all the rolls haha, if he sees her and dodges in time, Kestrel is for sure going in the river xD Tag: sloth

A N T L E R P A W 210 words Antlerpaw flicked a single ear back as Kestrelpaw raged at him. She was all hot air and spitting anger.. it seemed exhausting to the tom. Kestrelpaw wasted so much energy and time throwing herself at others with vicious intent but it all seemed like a pointless game to Antlerpaw. It was sad to him that he felt much more mature than the older molly fuming beside him.
There was silence for a moment as he lapped at the water. Suddenly Kestrelpaw was up in his face and yelling. He looked up in alarm, water droplets dripping from his jaw as he turned towards the molly.
L|nNgDgX 1-10: He looks up too late. 11-20: He ducks in time
Unfortunate for Antlerpaw he'd looked up right as Kestrelpaw took a swing at his face. She contacted with his cheek perfectly and before he could realize what was happening the she-cat had shoved him towards the water's surface. Antlerpaw lost his precarious balance and stumbled into the gurgling water beneath him. A loud splash followed as his body flopped into the stream. He was close enough to the edge that his feet scrapped the bottom of the stream bed as his instincts took over and he pushed himself up, gasping for air as the current pulled at his heavy fur.
