The Past

Owned by a foolish twoleg, Narcissus shouldn’t have been born. His owners were “backyard breeders”, people who think it’s fun to put their cats together and see what happens. Unorthodox and unregulated, the kits of the litter had weak genes. A heart condition that would have been weeded out with proper breeding was passed from Narcissus’ stray mother to most of her kits. The only one to survive and make it past 6 moons was little Narcissus with the odd eyes.

Having not learned their lesson, Narcissus’ owners wanted more kittens. They snagged she-cats off the streets to pair with Narcissus in hopes of getting more cats with his genes and his eyes. But alas, no litters came.

Bored of his owner's antics, Narcissus slipped out of his cosey twoleg den and into their garden. He saw birds, trees and flowers. But the prettiest thing of all was his stunning reflection in the garden koi pond. Fascinated by it, Narcissus left to see if he could find anything more beautiful.

Legend has it, he’s still wandering today unable to find anything that can satisfy his taste.
