Marigoldfeather nosed her way along the edge of the warrior's den, eyes turned up to watch in silence as the rain drizzled down from the forest canopy. As she watched the drizzle intensified to a steady rain and she sighed in defeat at her luck. She was hoping the rain would stay away for another day or at least wait until night fall; staying inside always made her feel rather antsy. At least she didn't mind the crowding like some of the clan's members.
The tortoiseshell molly turned away from the storm and eyed the warriors who huddled together in the large boulder that was their den. Her golden orbs glowed faintly in the low light as she scanned for a familiar figure to accompany as they all waited together. The hum of murmured conversations filled Marigoldfeather's tall ears and the warmth of so many bodies kept the chill of leaffall from creeping in. Her scan ended as a fluffy brown tabby she-cat came into view. Marigoldfeather purred in delight at the image of Ivynose. Since sharing tongues Marigoldfeather had hoped to spend some more time with the younger molly and now seemed as good a time as any.
She stepped away from the entrance to the den and began making her way towards the other molly with a hopeful look shining in her gaze and lifting the corners of her mouth as she approached.
