To start off the day Rootshine had already gone hunting. Hunting always brought her peace, to think what was most on her mind for the day. Already the day had started off badly with missing the mouse she had intended to catch. Leaving her to be upset as she walked quietly through the forest. Rootshine blinking her hazel eyes as her smaller paws crunched on the brown leaves that scattered the forest floor. ‘Maybe a run will help things?’ The idea forming in her head as she picked up her pace to a jog. The colder air was nipping at her brown and white pelt.
Rootshine kept at her faster pace with her paws hitting the brown leaves underneath. Fully focused on running as she stopped when she neared a larger tree. The she-cat shaking her pelt out to smooth it down before, raising one paw to rasp her tongue over. Rootshine, running her paw over the top of her head then placing her paw back down. Fully relaxed as she breathed in and out to regain the oxygen she lost when running. Closing her hazel eyes half way as she slightly swayed in her calmness. All of a sudden a loud crashing of a limb breaking from a tree made her hazel eyes widen in a panic. Rootshine immediately standing up to rush up the nearest tree she could find to escape the danger of the sound.
Her claws gripping onto the bark as she climbed her way to one of the branch’s about halfway up. Settling down on the middle sized branch with her hazel eyes still wide, an her heart now pounding in her chest cavity. Whatever that noise was had gone now. The brown and white tabby she-cat finally looking over the edge with a panic that filled inside of her to see how far she climbed up. “Noooo nooo nooo!” The panicked words coming out louder as the hot tears filled up inside of her eyes. This was not good at all. What if she was stuck on the branch forever?
