Ferretface trotted through the tunnels, a peppiness in her step like always. She was sure that her companion knew the way, being a tunneler and all, but she was excited to lead. This was her old friend, Dawnstone. They hadn't been able to train together as pupils, but Ferretface always lent a paw to the cat when she needed some help. Though she was moons older than the torbie, she felt like the other cat was about twice as mature. She liked to get the other cat to have some fun sometimes. And boy, after working for hours on finding just the right gem she was looking for, she needed a break too. Also, to celebrate. You didn't really need a reason to celebrate, just being alive was enough! There's never an excuse not to party. Say what you like, you gotta let loose sometimes. Her head turned and her eyes landed on the other molly, sparkling with mischievousness. Dawnstone seemed to be daydreaming, and the seal point padded a little closer to her side. Get outta your head! This is a time for fun, not for worrying! "Hey! Turn that frown upside down." She meowed, tapping the other cat's chin with her tail. What's something fun we can do while we walk. Oh! I know. An oldie but a goodie. "How bout we race? First one to the water is a rotten egg!" She said, doing a little hop in place before speeding off. The tunnels here were wide and smooth, easy to run through. And there was no way she'd hit her head either even with her bounding run. Her shorter stride made her slower than most, but she still had a powerful gait. Especially when her opponent was maybe kinda caught off guard. Ferretface easily breezed through the tunnels, she knew most of them by memory now. She had spent a lot of her days exploring when she wasn't working on gems or meditating. She would the way to the lake in her sleep by now, as she always loved a good swim. The water was always pretty warm and catching fish was one of her favorite pastimes, despite not being trained in it at all. She wasn't very good at it either, but that was part of the fun! The cave started to widen out and the patterns of the glowing water started to dance on the ceiling and walls. Despite the impending water, she didn't slow. She kept right on going towards the greenish blue, until she was so close that one more leap she would be in. She was so focused she couldn't tell whether Dawnstone had fallen behind or was already in the water. The lake enveloped her with a splash, and Ferretface went under with her eyes closed. Bubbles circled around her and she stayed under for a few moments before her lungs begged for air after the race. Her head popped up out of the water and she flicked droplets off her ears and whiskers. "WHEW! That was fun, wasn't it, Dawny?"Tags: Aria Notes: c': still tryna work her out |

Dawnstone - Chasmclan - Warrior - Tunneler - Application Dawnstone was rather boredom after a full day of digging. She had putting in extra effort in hopes of finding some extra gems to help Spottedgem and the heads as they surely worried about them. This black gems things was a pain pay in rump and yet... It's nothing that Chasmclan hadn't faced before. We would come over it in do time. The caliby sighed to herself slightly frowning and didn't notice the mischievous seal point approaching her. I couldn't even find a gem for Lilycloud. Well notice until- "Hey! Turn that frown upside down.""Uh-what!"Dawnstone was a bit taken back by Ferretface's cheer. "How bout we race? First one to the water is a rotten egg!" She chuckled at her friend. She had the same calming aura just as her sister. They always found a way of cheering her up. Oh you! All her worries seem to drift away with the wind. "Hey,Fefe. Your on!" Now the Tunneler became the Tunnel as the caliby was quick in her pursuit. Dawnstone knew the tunnels and the tunnels knew her. She made her Ferrectface work hard to keep her lead and laugh all the way to the underground lake. While Dawn wasn't working she was relaxing with friends and family! And Ferretface always knew the best way to take a break. Oh this will be fun! A plan was already brewing in the back of her mind AS they seem simultaneously leap into the water with a thundering splash. Dawnstone felt a little cold due the temperature but it was refreshing regardless. Undercover in the depth she waiting holding her breath then swiftly as a arrow went nip that she-cat's tail then popped her head out of the water grasping for air then laughing a little. The water always seem to seem pelt look extra glossy so it she had been told. Dawn wondered if old Fefe had taken notice. She winked before responding "Got you! Indeed was is. You really how have fun, chill-friend!"Tags: Owl , Notes: |

Ferretface knew the other cat was the faster one, and that was all part of the plan. She assumed that Dawnstone was the first one to hit the water. "Looks like you're the rotten egg! I'm fine with second place." She laughed. "Also, who if this 'Fefe?' Never heard of her." Another laugh followed that. Both cats knew the other was joking, and Ferretface actually rather liked her nickname. She looked around. Where'd she go? Squinting through the stream of water falling from her forehead into her eyes, she tried to check for the shape of a cat underwater. They weren't deep enough for her to have to tread water, but there were plenty of ways to trick a cat under the water. I would know, as I have both been a victim and a user of them. She was almost about to duck down and look around underneath the surface when she felt a sharp set of teeth on the tip of her tail. The molly choked in surprise and almost swallowed a mouthful of water. Dawnstone quickly emerged, water streaming off her and giggling like an amused kitten. "Hey! Do I look like a fish to you?! Keep your teeth to yourself, missy!" She sputtered, putting on a mock angry face. The point splashed through the water towards her friend, sending ripples and waves out that surely scared any and all fish that weren't already hiding due to the twin cannonballs. Dawnstone either didn't have the sense to swim swiftly away, or just wasn't worried about Ferretface's schemes. She guessed it was the latter. By the ancestors, I need to look more intimidating. As one of the biggest mollies of the clan, I should have a reputation for being scary and big and mean, roar! But everyone knows I'm just an overgrown kitten who likes a good laugh and a cuddle. Darn. I wonder if it's too late to change. Spice things up a little. "You aren't scared? Well, YOU SHOULD BE!" She meowed loudly, letting her voice echo off the walls of the cavern before rearing back on her hind legs and smashing her front paws into the water. It sent a wave that splashed right over Dawnstone's head. "This is war!" She crowed as she splashed out of the reach of the calico before she could retaliate. She sure hoped that no one was planning on hunting here today. Leave it to the tunnelers to mess up the hunter's jobs, haha! We gotta keep up or reputation of making everything a party... it's true. Everything is a party when you get to handle gems all day... most of the time. If you haven't gotten a gem-cut, you're the lucky one. Still, it is the most fun out of all the roles. And the most rewarding! I love to see the faces of cats when they give or receive gemstones. It's the best gift in the world to see someone happy. She let herself float in a deeper part of the lake, bobbing up and down as the effects of all her moving rippled out. "Well, Dawnstone, don't you want revenge? I know they say it's a meal best served cold, but I'm not getting any younger over here!"Tags: Aria, canary Notes: come join our party onyx!! |

i can't breath right because i'm runnin' ❝ The underground lake was a special spot to Onyxseeker. It was her place of solace and peace. No matter how trouble she was, the lake never changed and gave her a sense of solid ground in the chaotic storm that was her life. On days like today, Onyxseeker needed her anchor more than usual.
She woke up early that morning just to get some quality time in the lake. Throwing away her sense of responsibility for just a moment, Onyxseeker slipped from camp and made her way to the underground lake. That was how she found herself on the bottom of the lake, her eyes closed in deep meditation. The water muffled her hearing and she could barely see anything through the dark water. Surrounded by water from all sides, she never felt more safe. Onyxseeker let her mind wander. She wondered if this is what having a family felt like. If being in the safety of a mother's arms could compare to what she was feeling right now. Would it be warm and comforting? Or cool and reassuring? She would never know. The water was more of a mother to Onyxseeker than any cat she had ever met and what did that say about her?
A pang of worth-loathing shocked her from her meditative state. Ugh, she was so pathetic. She was a fully grown cat - a ChasmClan warrior! - and she still longed for the feeling of a mother's love. What a joke. She shifted from her meditative position to stand on her paws. The water made her fur sway weightlessly around her neck and gave her some measure of ease. At least water couldn't die like her mother did.
At that exact moment, a loud splash interrupted her dark thoughts. Onyxseeker jumped slightly and a few bubbles escaped her mouth as she hastily turned towards the source of the sound. For a moment, a school of fish obscured her vision but the moment they passed she recognized the figures that had jumped into the lake as cats. From this distance, she couldn't make out who it was exactly, but any fellow clanmate was no threat to her. Onyxseeker treaded water and felt the next for air start to strain her lungs. She should probably make her presence known, but she felt kind of awkward revealing herself at this point.
She flailed pointlessly for a few moments, long enough for a second cat to join the first. Well, she couldn't stay down here forever. She might as well get this over before she passed out from awkwardness. That wouldn't be easy to explain to Spottedgem. "Haha, yeah I was trying to avoid social interactions so hard I passed out!" She could already imagine the unimpressed face her leader would make at her excuse.
With a powerful push of her limbs, Onyxseeker pushed herself to the surface of the lake right behind one of the cats. She breached the surface noiselessly and blinked in surprise when she recognized the figure as none other than Ferretface. Sliding her eyes to the side, she also recognized Dawnstone - a fellow tunneler. They must have just come off their shift if they were down here at the lake.
Onyxseeker flicked some water from her whiskers and went to poke at Ferretface with one of her forepaws. "Boo." She deadpanned right into the other she cat's ears, hoping to get a reaction from her. Owl Aria ● the party don't start till i walk in ● onyxseeker

Dawnstone - Chasmclan - Warrior - Tunneler - Application One thing Dawnstone loved to do was playing games with family, friends, and her fellow clan-mates alike! Fefe taught a lot of what she knows so it was only fair to show just how far she grown? What was she is wrong to trick the trickster? I think that not. After all she did was use a few small tactics and besides it was just a little nimble not a brawl mauling. Oh! Now there was the fefe she knew and loved. No matter what time of day or the weather as long she had her friends like that around her is was going to be glorious day indeed. That cat has sassy with class much like her your truly and she loved every moment and yet. Could this torbie match the wordplay of her feisty friend? Well she was about to those waters and find out. "Aww... I did mean to dampen the fun. Everything was going so swimmingly before that ship sank." She replied sway her body a little maybe to put on show. Puns was sure fire way of getting even a points of merit. "Really, Fefe, Really! What to do take for more why would I going after a plain old fish when there is a fine young ferret on the menu!" She chuckled with a seductive wink followed by a trail of laughter. She didn't a inch enjoy the water splashed and hear Ferrecface's "fearsome" yowls. They fell on deaf ears of course. It only worked to make her more adorable. "Oh I am so scary!" The torbie said with obvious sarcasm as she went after as to take strike a pose just to show how "scare" really was. "You really-ooof!" Okay, she didn't expect that to happen at all. The huge wave sent water right in her eye. After blinking a few times to dispel but the damage was done. Oh it's on now, sister! "Oh fefe!" She glared at her with a twisted smirked. "You shouldn't have done that!" Dawnstone gets she wants and was going to get more that just revenge on the poor bi-color. Ferrectface was going to wish she was a fish by the time Dawn was down with her. "What good is meal if you don't for work it then you can savor it's flavor." Again, the playful batter was about. However the new arrival didn't not go unnoticed by her. It was another tunneler she recognized as Onyxseeker enter the water battleground. Oh yes! It was perfect!
That moment ferrectface was else she swam like her life depended don over her and swiftly and an arrow she dove at ferrectface hoping to latch into her fur like a newborn kitten. It was so soft like her own and shocking warm despite the water temperature. "Maybe I should take another bite, hmmm?" She replied but laughed snuggled against her with purring softly. For a second she almost forget they had company and looked over that the tortoiseshell. "Hey Oynxseeker, thank for distraction. I have wouldn't have never got to the wild ferret without ya. Come on join the fun!"Tags: canary ,Owl , Notes: Couldn't resist |

Ferretface had just finished crowing across the water to Dawnstone when she felt a poke at her side and a voice in her ear. "Wh-!" The moly exclaimed, caught off guard. She whirled around, almost choking on the water that was lapping on her chin. How did she get over so fast- oh! A new friend. The cat that was treading water behind her was none other than one of her longtime friends, Onyxseeker. There weren't a ton of slim little tortoiseshells in the clan, and her bestie was one of them. She'd recognize the cat anywhere, or at least that's what she hoped. We're practically sisters, I mean c'mon. "Yo, Onyx! Don't scare me like that next time or I may swallow more water than my lungs like." She laughed, kicking up a paw to playfully shove the tortoiseshell away. She normally liked to be more perceptive of her surroundings, but the splashing water and meows of laughter made it hard to concentrate on anything else. Her head turned back around to focus on Dawnstone, who had swam a little closer and was beginning one of her taunting speeches. "Oh dear! The puns! I didn't sea those coming! I can't believe you had the gill to invite me into a pun war!" She took a breath, partially to breathe and partially to frantically think up more puns. "You're swimming with the sharks now! Did you have trouble fishing those out of your brain? Water you think you're doing? Because boy I make sure there aren't any mist opportunities." She ended with a cackle and ducked back under the water, letting herself sink to the bottom before finding a grip on the stoney floor and pushing herself up and away. She couldn't hear a thing underneath, and she knew it was giving her friends some time to think up a good response. Oh, water-ver. I'll just think up something funny in response. The reaches of my mind are limitless! She popped up just in time to hear Dawnstone going on about how "why'd she eat fish when ferret was on the menu?" "Oh hahah very funny, someone better take me off the menu because I need my tail more than you do!" The seal point gave it a little flick under the water that she doubted the other cats would see. They all looked like floating heads, their bodies mere ripples under the water in shades of white and ginger and brown. She swam a little further so the trio of mollies were in a sorta triangle shape. She had returned to a shallower part of the water and set her legs down to give them a bit of a rest. Don't get her wrong, she enjoyed swimming and getting her legs muscled up but she had worked a long day before this. These puppies are already a little sore. The bicolor retreated a little further away from her torbie friend when the cat threatened to douse her. "You shoulda known what you were getting into when you called me Fefe and threatened to steal my tail!" She meowed, clumsily splashing back over to join Onyxseeker. "Protect me, Nyxie! We can work together!" The cat pretend-pleaded, hiding behind the tortie's shape. It must had been quite comical watching the large tunneler attempt to hide herself behind her considerably smaller clanmate. Unluckily, it wasn't enough and Dawnstone shot through the water like she had grown a fish tail. Expert paws locked around her shoulders, and the molly had hauled herself onto Ferretface's back. "Hey, Dawny I can't carry both of us! I blubblublusb-" She let herself sink into the water, making gurgling noises as she went down. All she could hear was Dawnstone's loud purring in her ears as she stuck her nose out of the water so she could continue to supply oxygen to her poor lungs. However much she complained, she didn't mind a bit of cuddling. And her torbie friend was quite warm, surprisingly so. "Ya got a fever, Dawnstone? We might hafta get you checked out." Her blue eyes flicked over to Onyxseeker, and she winked at her friend. She didn't want the other cat to feel left out, everyone should feel welcome in this general free-for-all tomfoolery. "Yeah, come on and join us Onyx. What's one more? You weigh about as much as a newborn kitten. All aboard S.S. Ferretface, we're goin' for a ride!" Onyxseeker narrowed her eyes fondly at Ferretface. She watched her choke on water with some amusement, mildly gratified that she had caught her off guard. It wasn't every day she got a leg-up on Ferretface. "You're lungs will survive yet. Don't worry your pretty head." Onyxseeker meowed exasperatedly. She bobbed in the water from the force of Ferretface's shove, pushed far enough away to give Dawnstone the opportunity to strike.
Onyxseeker groaned loudly as the two started to make puns. She sank deeper into the water, half hoping she might drown and just spare her the pain of listening to these two idiots. She sulked, sighing loudly and giving Dawnstone and Ferretface a grimace. Thankfully, Ferretface slipped under the water after spewing out a last few puns. "That was an unnecessarily dramatic exit." Onyxseeker told Dawnstone flatly, gesturing at Ferretface's retreating form. She snorted at Dawnstone and rolled her eyes. "I will be your distraction for the rest of your life if you never, ever make another pun in my presence." She joked. She waded back a little ways, not willing to get in between Dawnstone and Ferretface's teasing. She felt fondness build up in her heart as she watched the two of them taunt and tease each other. They really were the best friends a cat could ask for.
She raised her eyebrow at Ferretface as she tried to cower behind her. Which was about as effective as a dog trying to hide behind a mouse. Onyxseeker gave Dawnstone a mock-severe look. "If you want her, you're gonna have to go through me." She said as she puffed herself up as much as her wet fur would allow - trying to make herself look bigger. That being said, Onyxseeker willingly stepped out of the way as Dawnstone made a lunge for Ferretface. She laughed freely as the two of them wrestled in the water.
Onyxseeker grinned widely as Ferretface started to sink under Dawnstone's weight. "Are you saying Dawn needs to lose weight?" She asked Ferretface, acing offended on her behalf. It didn't stop Onyxseeker from surging forward and pressing up next to Dawnstone on Ferretface's back. "A free ride on the S. S. Ferretface? How could I resist! You really know what floats my boat." Onyxseeker meowed with a straight face, completely deadpan. When you can't beat them, join them.
