I'm a dying ember, Yet a blazing flame; I am my own salvation, I'm no wonted dame. Emberpaw sighed another boring day in this wrenched den. The scent of herds was going to her sick. Suck it up. She should be out there training to become a great warrior of Glenclan someone far better than she could be but now the little she-cat was stuck recovering from her wounds thanks to the blasted tree. If only she chosen a better branch this wouldn't have happened but she didn't regret. Emberpaw had fun it was like being a kit again before the truth as discovered even she was young and naive instead of now. That feeling of weightlessness and her problems were miles was a unimaginable and she yearned for that feeling again. Since that Mintheart last check up, Cricketpaw had notoriously visit her more often and Ember found herself really enjoying his company. He was one of the very few cats she could call as a close friend. Without through him and his daily visits, it was rather dull and uneventful. The tortoiseshell sighed looking the den entrance in longing. It was about time for his daily visit? Where is the goddess name was he? "Oh!" While she had company it wasn't her friend but two cats just as important who she loved dearly. Her siblings Antlerpaw and Magiepaw came to visit her to shock and delight. Antlerpaw. He knew how hard this were when they talked at Wide Streams. She pour her heart out to him a rare moment of weakness. She slightly regretted not just bottling it up now and saving him the trouble. It was only going to lead towards drama after all Where Magiepaw stood was a whole matter in it's own but nevertheless she would always respect their decision whatever it might be- well for the most part. "So you finally beside to visit you sister, hmmm? Took you long enough!"tag: bern, slothNotes: The typical emberpaw welcome

Magpiepaw - 8 moons - female - GlenClan- Birch Family - apprentice She had known Emberpaw had fallen from a tree for quite some time and she had meant to visit before but whenever she had some sparetime it appeared the Goddess herself prevented a sisterly bonding over a visit in the sick den. If it was not her mentor calling her back for a word or another lesson, or her almost running into their mother, who was lingering at the medicine den, - and Magpiepaw then slowly backing away to avoid talking to her (Magpiepaw was sure she would have cried if she did)- then Emberpaw was sleeping when she actually did find a moment.
She had started feeling guilty but of course it always came as it was meant to be and the next opportunity she found for herself to make this visit she actually ran into Antlerpaw on her way to their sister. Now, standing in the entrance and seeing Emberpaw actually awake for once- and in a mood like seven days of rain (so the usual), Magpiepaw felt relieved. It was as though a weight she had not known had weighed her down was being lifted from her. The small black and white she-cat gave her sister a grin and a friendly wave of her tail.
"I see you atleast didn't fall on your mouth", she said dryly. She pushed infront of her brother, fluffy tail high and accidentally hitting his muzzle, as she made her way towards her sister. Her eyes quickly inspected the tortoiseshell she-cat as she did not want to hurt her as she pressed her nose against Emberpaw's cheek in greeting before she laid down at her side and almost timidly started licking her sister's face and ears.
"Hope you're giving Mintheart the trouble she deserves", Magpiepaw said inbetween licks. Her eyes started to focus on Antlerpaw though. It was a rare opportunity for the three of them to be together like this. Too bad one of them had to get hurt for it to happen. They had all been so busy lately. Sometimes Magpiepaw did not even notice how much she missed being with her family. Notes: time to fuss over Ember I guess. If she wants it or not. Tags: Aria , sloth

A N T L E R P A W 250 words Antlerpaw had caught up with his sister Magpiepaw before going to see his, apparently accident prone, sister Emberpaw in the medicine cat den. It seems he couldn't turn his back for one moment without one of them getting into something they shouldn't be. Magpiepaw was more forgiving on the matter than he was, he felt a few days with Mintheart would do Emberpaw some good. Still; he wanted to visit his sister to be sure she was recovering well, he'd never hear the end of it if he didn't show his face at least once.
Magpiepaw was first in to see Emberpaw and they were both immediately greeted by their sister's sour tongue. He opened his mouth to shoot back a remark but Magpiepaw's tail immediately flicked his face as she swung by his large frame. He shifted get get her tail out of his face and gave the molly a humorous look before she curled up next to Emberpaw. "Well hello to you too Emberpaw, I see you've been enjoying your time immensely, I'm sure Mintheart has been treating you well." Magpiepaw was by far more familiar with showing affection than he was and he signed in relief when the molly began grooming Emberpaw affectionately. Antlerpaw settled for sitting near the she-cats, his side brushing up against Magpiepaw while the two shared tongues.
"What exactly did you do Emberpaw?" He asked her as he swatted at a stray piece of moss from her bedding. "When did you decide to go climbing without one of us?" Seeking clarity

I'm a dying ember, Yet a blazing flame; I am my own salvation, I'm no wonted dame. Emberpaw trying to think of a good remark to spat back at Magpie but nothing came. Underneath her hot and rather tough demeanor she was really happy they chose to visit her as they only she were the only family she had left or really cared for now. It meant the world to her not that would never say it. In her mind was a sign they were still as close as before and still cared about her and she should would never need them(her parents) again. "Of course, Magpiepaw what do you take me for?" She huffed with a soft smile feeling the warmth of sister as her side. It was nice, very reassuring compared to what had what transpired a few days ago. Emberpaw would said nothing but grit her teeth as Magpiepaw to share tongues. Wonderful. She groaned a bit. If they were alone she might have soften up but in front of Antlerpaw she did wanted prove to him was stronger than before. She wasn't weak in eyes or anyone else. This was really wonderful(not). "I am not a kit Magiepaw and beside you missed a point!" Then turned to her attention to her brother. She was going to tell him off but beside against it. After all too can play it that game. The she-cat nodded, "Indeed I am dearest brother, It's every day you can meet and speak with Medicine cat regardless if because of an unfortunate event." Emberpaw paused looks her fore-leg wrapped in herds and medicine and sighed again. "First I am independent she-cat thank you very much and second it was just a week or so ago so calm your tail fur! I wanted to some climbing practice in at the twisted trees. I end up meeting Cricketpaw who was doing the same thing and climbed together." She looked away think of fun she said and the feelings of happiness and freedom. Oh how she missed it! "It was amazing we're up so high that I'm telling you have seen the whole territory from it but I missed judged the branch on it was one. It snapped, I fell and being unable to use my fore-leg Cricketpaw help back to camp which brings up here today."With a deep breath since her story was over. "Well enough about me. I'm fine and that's all the means what about you two? How is your training." Emberpaw paused not knowing if she said anything more or not. Forget it. "Have they or she been trying to contract or talk with you at all?"tag: bern , sloth ,

and as i try to soar so high
my wings i find are clipped
Magpiepaw huffed softly in amusement in response to her sister's protest. She and her both knew it was only half-heartedly and the expression of affection appreciated under all thet tough demeanour Emberpaw put on display. The black and white she-cat sported a smile and started a tiny purr when she felt Antlerpaw's fur brush hers. Her mind formed an emotion that was best described with 'finally' and contentment. She would barely be any more comfortable than amidst her littermates, the only cats she allowed close to her and herself to show affection to. Her raspy tongue moved through Emberpaw's long, dark, tortoiseshell fur. Amber eyes were almost closed as she groomed out a spot behind her sister's ear the tortoiseshell appeared to have missed having one less paw for cleaning. She did not comment on it. Instead she listened to her siblings' exchange of words. She briefly stopped her grooming by the mention of Cricketpaw. The tone of her sister's telling changed talking about climbing with him and it made her wonder. But she did not dwell on that for long. So the long-legged tom had been with Emberpaw when she hurt herself. At least she had had someone nice to help her then. Although Magpiepaw secretly thought the dark tabby apprentice was not the brightest cat under the sun. "Bet you were trying to one-up him and that's what made you misjudge", she said with a shrug. "Good thing long-legs was luckier and could help you back to camp, huh?"Magpiepaw flicked her ear at Emberpaw to show her comment had been good-natured. She was not actively trying to upset her sister after all. Her face visibly lit up when Emberpaw asked about training. Magpiepaw was always fond of telling about her adventures with Teapad. She felt the senior warrior was an excellent mentor and the black and white apprentice soaked in any scrap of experience she would share like a sponge soaked water. And it was so much fun the way Teapad chose to teach her. She was ready to just start blab on about her training but Emberpaw wasn't finished. Magpiepaw's face fell upon realizing what she had been asked. Her fur bristled slightly and although she tried to calm it her tail started flicking with unease. It was no secret this was not her favourite topic to discuss. Or think about. It probably also did not stay unnoticed how she tended to flee whenever she would feel approached by either of her parents. And not parents. She knew Antlerpaw for one was rather attentive. She just shrugged and said: "I managed to avoid that so far."Nevermind the hurt she felt whenever she turned away from her Marigoldfeather and River-. But that was her burden to carry. A N T L E R P A W 560 words Antlerpaw tried to appear as attentive as he could; though the most he could muster was forward pointing ears and a slight twitch to the tip of his tail. Still he managed to listen as Emberpaw described her time with Mintheart. He made himself a mental note to ask the medicine cat the best remedy for pain management when he visited the she-cat during the upcoming herb lesson he'd managed to squeeze himself into.
He smirked slightly when Magpiepaw called Cricketpaw long-legs; being one of the largest apprentices meant everyone seemed a little small to Antlerpaw and Cricketpaw was smaller than most. Why Emberpaw was trying to impress the small tom was lost on him but now days most of what his sisters' did escaped him. He supposed it made sense for them all to be doing things separately now; they weren't kits anymore and there was no reason for them to be spending all their time together, not when there was training to be done and lessons to learn.
Antlerpaw contemplated his answer when Emberpaw asked about training. He could see Magpiepaw mulling over her answer too and chimed in before the molly had time to answer. "It's fine," he said with a bit of force. It was well known his time with Embershade wasn't going as well as he would have liked. It seemed more often than not now he was the mentor and the warrior he trained with, the apprentice. Embershade lacked discipline and the structure Antlerpaw craved. It was about as frustrating as it could be for Antlerpaw and he hoped his siblings were fairing better than he was currently.
His fur bristled alongside Magpiepaw's when Emberpaw mentioned their mother. Marigoldfeather was the shadow that haunted his quiet days, it was like she knew when there was a lull in his schedule and seized any opportunity she had to ambush him. He had told the molly off on more than one occasion and suspected his sister's had run into similar situations too. Antlerpaw avoided bringing the molly up with Magpiepaw. He'd come to realize she was handling it perhaps the worst out of all of them. She'd been the closest to Marigoldfeather and though they never really talked about it much, he knew it hit her the hardest. "I know it's easy for you to get angry and lash out Emberpaw but I for one have tried avoiding her as best I can nowadays." He was sure the same could be said for Magpiepaw but he wouldn't speak for his sister.
Antlerpaw flicked an ear back in discomfort as he tried to process his emotions. "I know we haven't talked much about.. everything, together but if either of you need me let me know." He felt completely uncomfortable even saying the words but he'd vowed he'd be honest from the day they'd all uncovered the truth and in that honesty he had to let his siblings know he cared for them, even if it caused him discomfort for saying as much. At least now he should never need to say so again, one heart-to-heart moment was enough to last his lifetime.
He tried to avoid making eye contact with either of his sisters and cleared his throat before speaking once more, "Anyway.. did Mintheart tell you when you could get out of here Emberpaw?" Antlerpaw was hoping his sisters would roll with the change in subject. Seeking clarity
