The Past
Mahoganykit was the only kit in his litter, born to two very loving and attentive parents. His mother made sure he grew to know his denmates and first instilled the idea that the Pine Family was as much as his kin as she and his father were. His father instilled in him the ideas of providing for your clan and a warrior’s duty to protect. Mahoganykit has a relatively peaceful kithood and never seemed to feel lonely as the only kit of his litter.
Mahoganypaw’s apprenticeship was much the same. He considered everyone kin in the clan and his closest friends almost like brothers and sisters, though he did well to keep himself close to the Pine Family. In the middle of the young tom’s apprenticeship he suffered a horrible accident during one of his climbing lessons. While the tom seemed remarkably bad at climbing even as a Glenclan cat, The Goddess was not smiling upon him that day.
A weak branch had snapped under the tom’s weight sending him plummeting to the ground below, gravely injuring his shoulder. The apprentice spent a long while in the medicine den recovering, watching his denmates advance in their training and becoming warriors. It was during those dark days where he developed a strong fear of being utterly useless. He began devoting his time to training himself to walk and use his shoulder again in efforts to battle that fear. It took a long while but Mahoganypaw eventually received his warrior name: Mahoganyfrost.
Much of Mahoganyfrost’s warriorhood is uneventful. He continues to serve his clan as best as he can and cares for them as much as he does his blood-related kin. All the while hiding the fact that he is still plagued by the trauma he suffered as an apprentice.
